Memory Interposers
NEXUS Technology's interposer products that support electrical analysis, protocol analysis, and compliance evaluation of high-speed memory interfaces such as DDR and LPDDR.
Overview
Access memory signals at the component
An interposer fits between a memory component and the target board to provide signal access for test equipment. It supports evaluation of BGA memory and other devices whose signals are difficult to probe after assembly.
Electrical analysis
Use with an oscilloscope to examine signal quality, jitter and timing. Choose an interposer for the required signals and probe connection.
Protocol and compliance analysis
With a compatible memory analyzer, verify command transfers and timing requirements against JEDEC specifications. Analysis requires appropriate instrumentation in addition to the interposer.

DDR
Options for DDR5, DDR4, DDR3 and DDR2. Select according to the memory generation and BGA configuration.
LPDDR
Options for LPDDR5, LPDDR4, LPDDR3 and LPDDR2 for memory evaluation in mobile and embedded products.
Flash-memory interposers are also available. Supported speeds, ball counts, pitch, signal access and compatible instruments vary by product. Please provide your memory part number and test requirements.

Mounting options for your target
Direct Attach
The interposer is mounted directly on the target board. Check mechanical clearance to avoid interference with nearby components.
Target Socketed
A target socket provides a removable interposer interface. The interposer can be removed after testing; an optional component socket can also support removable memory devices.

Product selection and attachment support
Attachment service
NEXUS offers removal of the memory device and reassembly with an interposer between the memory and target board. Examples include DIMMs, SODIMMs and customer target boards.
Custom interposers
Custom designs can be discussed with the manufacturer when standard products do not fit mechanical or test requirements. Share your board geometry, signals and instrumentation.
